Haslingfield Endowed Primary School

Pupil Voice

At Haslingfield School we aim to give every child a voice that is heard and listened to, within the full range of contexts experienced within the lives of our children.  To best facilitate this; to create safe and strong environments that reflect their needs:

  • we have a clear commitment to children’s and young people’s participation;
  • children’s participation is supported;
  • children a have equality of opportunity to be involved.

Children’s participation is continually reviewed - ensuring the quality of provision remains high.  It is important to us that children and young people are involved in the evaluation process of our provisions.

Our approach to establishing opportunities for expressing pupil voice, include:

  • Pupils School Councilor Committee liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including governors
  • Pupils House Captain Leaders Group
  • Pupils Environmental Committee
  • Pupils Sports Committee
  • Pupils Health and Safety Committee
  • Pupils Play and Games Committee
  • Pupil working groups
  • Lesson observation
  • Young people as researchers
  • Involvement in appointment processes
  • Working with peers
  • Formal meetings
  • Pupil Feedback boxes
  • Pupil Surveys
