History

Records of a school on the current grounds date back to the 1600's. The oldest part of our existing building dates back to the early 1800's. Infact, part of the school is within a conservation area and is often subject to environmental studies. The school has seen numerous building projects over the years which has made the building special and unique.

Our School Building and Grounds Today

We are fortunate to have a beautiful large playing field surround by trees and vegetation. There are two playgrounds, which allows for one to be reserved as a dedicated Early Years area. At playtimes the children have access to a range of play equipment, such as wooden climbing frames, trim trails and a football pitch. For specific learning and activities, we also have a pond dipping area that sits beside our alloment beds and outdoor story telling area. In addition to this we have an open air swimming pool where the children enjoy swimming lessons in the summer term.

The school has a large hall which is not only used during school but also for concerts and performances. It doubles up as a canteen during mid-day break where school lunches are served from our own kitchen and on-site cook.
